Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License Renewal Requirements

Mortgage Loan Originator

Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) in the State of Florida must complete 8 hours of approved continuing education every year prior to the December 31st deadline. The NMLS does not accept late completions and strongly advises licensees to meet their continuing education requirements far ahead of the annual December deadline. It is important to make sure this education is completed through approved providers so that your hours will be accepted and your license will be renewed.

When it comes to renewing your Mortgage Loan Originator license, nobody makes it easier for Florida MLOs to complete the required education than Bert Rodgers Schools. This 8-hour required continuing education course can be completed online from the convenience of your home.

With online learning, it is important to note that the NMLS does not offer any grace period for late completions and renewals. If you complete your continuing education online, it is important for you to make sure that the entire course is done well in advance of the renewal deadline so that your renewal is processed before December 31st.
